A single wall oven differs from a range in that the stove top and oven have been independent appliances. The single wall oven can be installed at a height permitting access into the oven without having to bend over to reach the oven. Single wall ovens can be gasoline electric, and are installed inside a tall kitchen cupboard, so access to the electric or gas connections on the other side of the oven are limited. You can set up a single wall oven in a kitchen cupboard in a couple of hours with some hand tools.

Turn off the breaker that controls the electric circuit to get the oven. Hold a non-contact electrical tester beside the wires in the rear of the oven cupboard to validate the power is off. If the light on the tester comes on, then turn off more circuit breakers or the main breaker into the house until the tester verifies power into the circuit is away.
Assess the height and width of the oven enclosure using a tape measure. Measure and cut the rough opening in the cupboard using a reciprocating saw, allowing 1/4 inch of clearance on each side.
Remove the cover plate from the junction box in the rear of the oven enclosure using a screwdriver. Knock the hole out around the cover plate using a screwdriver, and insert a wire clamp into the hole. Tighten the locking nut on the threads to fasten the clamp into the plate. Slide the wires from the oven into the clamp and tighten the screws to hold the alloy protective cable sheath set up.
Strip away 3/4 inch of insulation from the tips of the wires from the electrical circuit and the wires from the oven. Connect the black wire from the box into the black wire from the oven using a wire nut. Connect the red wires in precisely the exact same fashion, followed by the two white wires. Connect the bare cable in the box into the green wire from the oven. If no bare wire is existing in the box, connect the green grounding wire from the oven into the white wires in the wire nut. Tuck the wires into the junction box and fasten the box cover using the two mounting screws.
Lift and slide the oven into the oven enclosure until the flange is against the surface of the closet. Pre-drill a pilot hole through each of the four mounting holes using a 1/8-inch drill bit, then tighten a mounting screw through each of the holes to secure the oven into the wall. Snap any trim pieces in place to cover the mounting screws. Slide the oven door to the seams, and open and close the door to check the door’s operation.
Turn on the breaker and test the oven.

Implement two or three wraps of thread seal tape around the gas valve nipple, bend the gas valve coupler from the oven on the nipple, then tighten the coupler having an adjustable canopy. Turn on the gas valve and confirm the link for flows using a liquid leak detector.
Slide the oven’s wall plug into the AC outlet within the cupboard.
